This is a remodel to an existing 1930’s house without covered parking. The program was to add a master bath, interior circulation (which became the gallery) a studio at the upper level, and covered parking.  The priority was to open the public areas of the house to the rear garden area and take advantage of the view corridor maximizing the indoor/outdoor relationship with the site. The forms used are a response to the neighboring structures. The objective was to reinterpret the local vernacular in a forward thinking more abstract way.                                                                                back to projects
