This is a remodel of a single story courtyard house on a flat site overlooking the Southern California coast.  The property is part of a 1960‘s custom tract development.  Very little new floor area was added, instead the effort was put toward opening up the interior spaces, and creating an uninterrupted flow that engages with the exterior courtyard and patio.  A series of curved walls were added to achieve privacy while allowing the interiors to open to the outdoors.                                                          back to projects
